Michelle McCorkle is the mother of four young daughters, business owner, Middle School English Teacher, and has published five young adult novels. She completed her Master's of Education in Literacy/Language Arts in May 2010 and is in the midst of finishing books 6 (Broken Hero), & 7 (Within These Walls).
Also known as "Mrs. Mac," she's been teaching middle school English for 18 years including a Health curriculum for 6 years.

Michelle finds that a lot of parents don't like to talk to their children about adolescent issues because they're too embarrassed, but this is where communication needs to be the strongest. She usually likes to incorporate touchy adolescent topics and realistic experiences of what it was like growing up in the '80's into her books.
Michelle truly feels that instead of "preaching" to teens, she has been much more successful at approaching topics at their level. Teens find it easier to relate to adults when adults can relate to them.
Mutual respect is key because teens have a voice. They all have their own opinions and would like to be heard. Communicate with them in a non-threatening way and they will usually respond positively.

Since Michelle was young she has had countless ghostly experiences, thus her fascination with the supernatural.
